Product warranty

Warranty Coverage: At QerLight, we stand behind the quality of every lamp and lighting product we sell. All QerLight lighting products are covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, starting from the date of delivery. This warranty is provided by Oder Ltd (trading as QerLight), company number NI696197, registered in Northern Ireland.


What Is Covered: Our warranty covers manufacturing defects that affect the normal use of your lighting product, including:

  • Electrical faults in the internal wiring, drivers, or circuitry
  • Premature failure of integrated LEDs (where the LED is built in and not user-replaceable)
  • Defective switches, dimmers, touch controls, or remote controls supplied with the lamp
  • Faulty USB ports, charging pads, or wireless-charging modules
  • Defective power adapters, plugs, or supplied cables
  • Cracks, splits, or structural failures in the housing, base, or shade that appear under normal indoor use
  • Finish defects such as premature peeling, flaking, or discolouration not caused by misuse
  • Motors or moving parts (for lamps with levitation, rotation, or projection features) that fail under normal use


What Is Not Covered: The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, drops, or improper installation
  • Damage from using the product outside its intended environment (for example, using an indoor lamp outdoors, or exposing a non-waterproof lamp to rain or moisture)
  • Damage caused by incorrect voltage, power surges, or unsuitable bulbs
  • Normal wear and tear, including minor cosmetic marks from regular handling
  • Replaceable bulbs (GU10, E27, E14, and similar user-replaceable bulbs are treated as consumables and are only covered if defective on arrival)
  • Batteries, which are covered for 90 days from delivery against defects but not against normal capacity loss over time
  • Damage caused by unauthorised repairs, modifications, or disassembly of the product
  • Damage caused by pets, spills, stains, insects, or other external factors
  • Products purchased from third-party resellers or marketplaces not authorised by QerLight


Warranty Claim Process: If you believe your product has a fault covered by this warranty, please email our customer service team at support@qerlight.com within the warranty period. To help us process your claim quickly, please include:

  • Your order number and the name of the product
  • A clear description of the fault
  • Photos, and where possible a short video, showing the issue
  • The date you first noticed the fault

We aim to respond to all warranty claims within 1 business day. Once we confirm the claim is covered, we will provide instructions for what to do next. You do not need to return the product until we ask you to — please wait for our confirmation before shipping anything back.


Resolution Options: Once a valid warranty claim has been confirmed, we will offer one of the following, at our discretion and with your agreement:

  • Replacement of the defective part (where the fault can be resolved with a spare part, such as a remote control or power adapter)
  • Replacement of the full product with the same item, or a comparable model if the original is no longer available
  • A full refund of the purchase price to your original payment method

Where the fault is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, return shipping for the faulty item will be at our cost.


Your Legal Rights: This warranty is offered in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law and does not replace or limit them. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to UK consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If your product does not meet these standards, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund regardless of this warranty. Nothing in this policy affects your right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.


Exclusions and Limitations: This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It covers only products bought directly from qerlight.com. To the fullest extent permitted by law, QerLight's total liability under this warranty is limited to the price paid for the product. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or to any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
